Drip Mani

Hey everyone:) So before I start rambling, I'd really like to say thanks to Sammy from The Nailasaurus, she tweeted about my blog and now I have lots more traffic and followers here! So welcome to my new followers:) If you've never checked out her blog, you must. She's the absolute best. :) 

Now for the nails! This was just a quick mani I did yesterday because the first time I tried the dripping nails I completely failed. So I like these quite a bit more. :)

The base color for this is China Glaze "Elephant Walk," a kind of greenish grey with a subtle shimmer to it. Excellent formula as usual and it's opaque in one coat (I use two of course though.)
The drip is Finger Paints "Plum Startled," a dark purple with a hint of gold and blue shimmer if you look closely at the right angle. Love this color. 

If you're curious about my failed first attempt, here's a photo of that. Really the only thing I messed up was not starting with white as the base and using the glitter for the drip. But I have learned my lesson. :) The colors here are China Glaze "White On White" and Sally Hansen "Rockstar Pink."
